Archery GB operates a classification scheme which is open to all archers and bow types.
Archers can gain awards as follows -
Archer Tier
Archer Third Class, Archer Second Class and Archer First Class at Club level.
Bowman Tier
Bowman Third Class, Bowman Second Class and Bowman First Class at competitive events.
Master Bowman Tier
Master Bowman, Grand Master Bowman and Elite Master Bowman at Record Status Events.
Classifications are gained between January and December each year and must be renewed annually.
All completed scoresheets for club level should be sent to scores_tenzone@outlook.com attaching PNG / JPEG or PDF files.
252 Award
The 252 Award scheme is very popular. It is a scheme in use at many archery clubs in the UK and applies to archers of all ages, abilities and bow style.
The scheme is designed to help you practice shooting at different distances and recognizes your achievements at each level of success.
Rules
1. 6 sighter arrows are permitted but must not be scored
2. 36 arrows to be shot in ends of 6 on a 122cm target face using 5-zone scoring
3. Distances must be shot in ascending order starting at 20 yards. No distances may be omitted
4. When a score of 252 or more is achieved for a distance on two different days you may like a quiver badge showing the distance and the legend 252
5. You can also achieve the award by shooting any outdoor round where you score 252 or more at a set distance with your first 36 arrows after sighters
6. The top 252 badge scores will qualify as club records
7. Scoresheets are available in the 252 folder in Vic’s Place
8. Once you have achieved 252 at a particular distance, you are then able to move up to the next distance
9. Fully completed, checked and signed scoresheets should be;
a) Sent using you scoring app to scores_tenzone@outlook.com
b) Sent as a pdf or jpg to scores_tenzone@outlook.com
c) Placed in the 252 scoresheet rack in Vic’s Place
d) Handed to Louise Deane
The Portsmouth League is run during the indoor season (Wednesday evenings) and applies to all archers irrespective of age, ability or bow type.
After 6 sighters (practice arrows), you shoot a Portsmouth round (5 dozen arrows at a 60cm face at 20 yards, 10 zone scoring) with a maximum score of 600.
Rules
be handed to Vic North.
The Frostbite League is run during the Winter months (October until March) and applies to all archers irrespective of age, ability or bow type.
A Frostbite round is shot on an 80cm face at 30 metres.
Rules
The TenZone League is run during the Summer months (April to September) and applies to all archers irrespective of age, ability or bow type.
A TenZone round is shot on an 122cm face at 80/60/50/40/30/20 yards.
