252 Award

252 Award

The 252 Award scheme is very popular. It is a scheme in use at many archery clubs in the UK and applies to archers of all ages, abilities and bow style.

The scheme is designed to help you practice shooting at different distances and recognizes your achievements at each level of success.

Rules

1. 6 sighter arrows are permitted but must not be scored

2. 36 arrows to be shot in ends of 6 on a 122cm target face using 5-zone scoring

3. Distances must be shot in ascending order starting at 20 yards. No distances may be omitted

4. When a score of 252 or more is achieved for a distance on two different days you may like a quiver badge showing the distance and the legend 252

5. You can also achieve the award by shooting any outdoor round where you score 252 or more at a set distance with your first 36 arrows after sighters

6. The top 252 badge scores will qualify as club records

7. Scoresheets are available in the 252 folder in Vic’s Place

8. Once you have achieved 252 at a particular distance, you are then able to move up to the next distance

9. Fully completed, checked and signed scoresheets should be;

b) Sent as a pdf or jpg to scores_tenzone@outlook.com
